As part of the transition to move NAPLAN from a paper based to an online test, all schools in NSW are required to conduct a Readiness Test this term. Our school will be conducting the test with current Years 3, 5, 7 and 9 boys during Week 10 on the following days:

  • Junior School Years 3 and 5 – Monday 18th September
  • Preparatory School Years 3 and 5 – Tuesday 19th September
  • Year 7 – Wednesday 20th September
  • Year 9 – Thursday 21st September

The NAPLAN Online School Readiness Test is an opportunity for schools to become familiar with the online platform and to identify any technical or administrative issues. We are encouraged to treat the test as if it were an actual NAPLAN test. However, it is important to note that student results will not be recorded. The focus is on testing our systems, not the performance of students.

Once all School Readiness Tests have been completed across the state, NESA will review the information generated to assist in determining the most suitable time for schools to move to NAPLAN Online.
